Texas Roadhouse Rolls

Few things can match the aroma of freshly baked Texas Roadhouse rolls. These fluffy, soft, and slightly sweet rolls are known for their irresistible flavor, especially when served warm with a creamy cinnamon honey butter.
Ingredients
- 1 packet dry yeast
- 3 dl water
- 1 tsp sugar
- 50 g butter
- 4.7 dl milk
- 2 eggs
- 2 tsp salt
- 0.5 dl sugar
- approximately 1.1 kg flour
Cinnamon Honey Butter - 110 g room temperature butter
- 1 dl powdered sugar
- 40 g honey
- 1 tsp cinnamon
Instructions
- Place all the dry ingredients in a stand mixer. (Hold back some of the flour and adjust as needed) Add eggs, lukewarm milk, and melted butter. Knead for 10 minutes.
- Cover and let the dough rise for 1 hour.
- Turn the dough out onto a floured surface. Roll out the dough into a rectangle about 1.5 cm thick. Use a pizza cutter to cut into squares or rectangles. You should get about 24-30 pieces depending on the size you make. Place them on two baking sheets lined with parchment paper.
- Cover and let them proof for about 30 minutes.
- Bake at 175°C in the middle of the oven for about 15-20 minutes.
- Brush immediately with room temperature or melted butter.
- While the rolls are baking, make the cinnamon honey butter by whisking together all the ingredients.
- Serve the rolls with cinnamon honey butter or whatever you prefer.
Serve the rolls warm with a generous layer of cinnamon honey butter, and enjoy them while they are still hot. They are just as good as a side to soups and grilled dishes as they are on their own with a bit of extra butter. Store any leftovers in a sealed bag, and feel free to warm them for a few seconds in the oven or microwave before serving, as they will be almost like freshly baked again.
