These buns with crème fraîche are juicy and soft. Perfect for breakfast, lunch, or as an accompaniment to soups and salads.

Ingredients

  • 800 g all-purpose flour
  • 200 g finely ground whole grain flour
  • 40 g rolled oats
  • 1 packet dry yeast
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 4 dl water
  • 3 dl crème fraîche
  • 0.5 dl rapeseed oil

Instructions

  1. Mix all the dry ingredients. Warm the water, honey, and crème fraîche until lukewarm and add along with the oil. Knead for 10 minutes.
  2. Let rise for 1 hour. Divide into 15 pieces, shape into buns, and place in a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Sprinkle a little flour on top and let rise for another 30 minutes.
  3. Bake in the middle of the oven at 225 °C for about 16–18 minutes, or until the buns are golden and cooked through.
