Ingredients
- 1 dl milk
- 2.5 tsp dry yeast
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 500 g all-purpose flour
- 1 tbsp grated lemon zest
- 0.5 tsp salt
- 50 g butter
- 3 eggs
- 2 dl sweetened condensed milk

Instructions
- Heat the milk to 37 degrees. Combine the warm milk with the yeast and brown sugar in a small bowl. Let the mixture sit undisturbed for 10 minutes until the yeast foams up.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, lemon zest, and salt.
- In another bowl, mix the melted butter, eggs, condensed milk, and the yeast mixture.
- Pour the wet ingredients over the dry ingredients and knead for about 5 minutes. The dough will be quite sticky and elastic.
- Cover and let the dough rise until doubled in size.
- Turn the dough out onto a floured surface. Divide into 12 pieces. Roll each piece into a long strip about 25-30 cm long. Then make a knot with the dough strip.
- Cover and let rise for another 30 minutes.
- Brush them with egg and water, and sprinkle seeds on top.
- Bake at 180°C, in the middle of the oven for about 25 minutes.
