Ingredients

  • 200 g sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 200 g Greek yogurt
  • 100 g melted butter
  • 250 g all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla sugar
  • 1 orange, finely grated zest and 40 g orange juice
  • 1 pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 175 °C (conventional heat).
  2. Lightly whisk together sugar and eggs (no need to make it fluffy).
  3. Stir in yogurt and melted butter.
  4. Mix flour, baking powder, vanilla sugar, and salt, and gently fold this into the mixture.
  5. Finally, stir in the orange zest and orange juice.
  6. Pour the batter into a greased pan (about 19-20 cm round).
  7. Bake in the middle of the oven for 45-50 minutes. Test with a cake tester.

Mix together some powdered sugar and orange juice and spread over the cooled cake.
