Ingredients
- 200 g mango (about 2 medium mangoes)
- 240 ml heavy cream, cold
- 30 g powdered sugar (about 4 tbsp)
Instructions
Make mango purée
- Peel the mangoes and cut them into pieces.
- Blend them in a blender or food processor until you have a smooth purée.
Whip the cream
- Place the heavy cream and powdered sugar in a bowl.
- Whip until stiff peaks form.
Combine
- Gently fold the mango purée into the whipped cream using a spatula.
- Mix until the color is uniform without deflating the cream.
Divide into serving glasses
- Fill the mousse into a piping bag or spoon it directly into serving glasses.
- If the mixture seems a bit loose, refrigerate it for about 1 hour before serving.
Chill
- Place the mousse in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
Serve
- Garnish with mango pieces and mint leaves before serving.
Tips
- Use well-ripened and sweet mangoes for the best flavor.
- The mousse does not contain gelatin, so it should be served straight from the refrigerator and enjoyed within 1–2 days.
Storage
- Keep covered in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
Allow the mango mousse to chill well before serving so that the flavors can meld and the texture becomes perfect. Feel free to top with extra mango pieces, fresh mint, or a light sprinkle of coconut for an extra decorative finish. A simple dessert that looks impressive and tastes fantastic.
