Homemade hot dog buns are easy to make and taste so much better than the store-bought ones. These will be soft, airy, and slightly sweet, perfect for grilling, children's birthdays, or a simple dinner. Once you make them yourself, it's hard to go back!

Ingredients
- 850 g all-purpose flour
- 50 g sugar
- 2 tsp salt
- 1 packet dry yeast
- 100 g melted butter
- 6 dl water

Instructions
- Combine all the dry ingredients in a mixing bowl. (set aside some of the flour)
- Add water and melted butter (lukewarm) and knead for 10 minutes. Adjust with flour as needed until the dough is to your liking.
- Let the dough rise for 1-1.5 hours or until it has doubled in size.
- Divide the dough into 20 equal pieces (using a scale is helpful).
- Shape into elongated hot dog buns and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, leaving about 1-1.5 cm between them.
- Cover and let them proof for 30 minutes.
- Bake at 200°C in the middle of the oven for 15-20 minutes, until they are light golden brown.
- Brush with room temperature butter after removing them from the oven (while they are still warm). This is optional.
- Cool before serving.
