Ingredients

• 470 g all-purpose flour

• 50 g sugar

• 1 tsp cardamom

• 1 tsp salt

• 1 packet dry yeast

• 1 egg (room temperature)

• 3 dl milk (lukewarm)

• 50 g butter (room temperature)

Filling:

• 50 g butter

• 3 tbsp sugar

• 1 tsp cinnamon

• 8 marshmallows

Instructions

  • Place all the dry ingredients in a stand mixer.
  • Add the milk and egg, and knead for about 10 minutes.
  • Add the butter and knead for another 5 minutes, until you have a smooth dough.
  • Cover and let rise for about 1 hour.
  • Mix sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl.
  • Melt the butter and place it in a separate bowl.
  • Divide the dough into 8 equal pieces. Roll into buns and flatten them slightly.
  • Dip the marshmallows in the melted butter, and roll them in the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
  • Place one marshmallow in the center of each bun. Fold the dough around and pinch tightly to seal the seam completely.
  • Place the buns on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and let rise for another 30 minutes.
  • Brush with egg.
  • Bake at 200°C for 14-15 minutes.
