Energy Bars with Peanuts and Chocolate

Energy Bars with Peanuts and Chocolate

These energy bars with peanuts and chocolate are easy to make and perfect as a quick snack or a little energy boost during the day.

Ingredients

  • 150 g peanut butter
  • 100 g syrup or honey
  • 60 g oats
  • 50 g peanuts

Topping:

  • 50 g peanuts
  • 80 g chocolate + 10 g butter

Instructions

Heat the peanut butter and syrup and stir until combined.

Add the oats and peanuts and mix together before pressing the mixture into a lined box (12x21cm).

Top with the remaining peanuts. Press them into the mixture with the back of a spoon or spatula.

Melt the chocolate and butter over a water bath and pour over the top.

Chill in the refrigerator and cut into suitable pieces once the mixture has set.

Store in the refrigerator.

The bars are perfect to have on hand in the refrigerator when you need something quick and tasty, whether after a workout, as a snack, or when a sweet craving hits. They keep best when cold, but can also be taken on the go if wrapped well.
