Dinner Rolls

12 delicate dinner rolls with a hint of finely ground whole grain flour. These rolls are soft, airy, and perfect as an accompaniment to soups, salads, grilled dishes, or on a cold buffet. With a touch of finely ground whole grain flour, they have a mild, nutty flavor and a bit of extra fiber, while still maintaining a light and delicate texture. They are easy to bake and suitable for both everyday meals and special occasions.
Ingredients
- 400 g all-purpose flour
- 60 g finely ground whole grain flour
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 packet dry yeast
- 3 dl water
- 0.5 dl rapeseed oil
Instructions
- Place all the dry ingredients in a stand mixer. Add lukewarm water and oil, and knead for 10 minutes.
- Cover and let the dough rise for one hour.
- Transfer the dough to a floured countertop and divide it into 12 equal pieces. Shape them into rolls and place them in a greased muffin tin.
- Cover and let them proof for 30 minutes.
- Brush with egg. Top with sesame seeds and toasted rapeseeds or other seeds.
- Bake in the middle of the oven at 190℃ for 16-17 minutes.
Once the dinner rolls are baked, let them cool on a wire rack. Serve them warm with butter, or use them as an accompaniment to a good meal. The rolls can also be frozen and thawed as needed, so you always have fresh dinner rolls ready to serve.
