Cake
- 180 g all-purpose flour
- 180 g sugar
- 20 g cocoa powder
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp vanilla sugar
- 1.5 dl water
- 6 tbsp (approx. 90 g) rapeseed oil
- 2 eggs
Icing
- 300 g room temperature butter
- 40 g cocoa powder
- 400 g powdered sugar
- A pinch of flaky salt
Whisk everything together until you have a fluffy cream.

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 180 °C. Grease or line a round cake pan (approx. 19-20 cm) with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and vanilla sugar.
- In another bowl, lightly whisk together the eggs, water, and oil.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined – do not overmix.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake in the middle of the oven for about 40 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let the cake cool and slice it in half before applying the icing.
