Ingredients

  • 490 g all-purpose flour
  • 50 g sugar
  • 1 tsp cardamom
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 packet dry yeast
  • 1 egg
  • 3 dl milk
  • 50 g butter

Filling

  • 100 g Biscoff spread
  • 100 g Biscoff cookies (crushed into crumbs, half used for the filling, the rest for topping)

Cream cheese frosting:

  • 45 g cream cheese, at room temperature
  • 55 g butter, at room temperature
  • 100 g powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla sugar
  • a pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Add all the dry ingredients to a stand mixer. Add lukewarm milk and egg. Knead for 10 minutes.
  2. Add room temperature butter and knead for another 5 minutes.
  3. Cover and let the dough rise for one hour.
  4. Transfer the dough to a floured countertop.
  5. Roll out and spread the filling on top.
  6. Sprinkle half of the Biscoff crumbs over the filling.
  7. Use a pizza cutter to cut into 9 equal pieces.
  8. Roll them up and place them in a small baking tray lined with parchment paper.
  9. Cover and let them proof for 30 minutes.
  10. Bake in the middle of the oven at 250℃ for 14-15 minutes.
  11. Spread cream cheese frosting on the rolls and sprinkle with Biscoff crumbs.
